The Relationship Between Language and Society

What is language? Write the relationship between language and society.
Definition of Language: Language is the method of human communication, either spoken or written, consisting of the use of words in a structured and conventional way. It is the way of communication between the narrator and the audience. It can be defined that Language is the communication of thoughts and feelings through a system of subjective signals, such as voice sounds, gestures (motions/signs), or written symbols which is used by a nation, people, or other distinct (separate) community.
Definition of society: Society is the unity of a small part of a country which has a free area, sovereign and a leader and a group of people who live there and share their views, customs, knowledge and laws with each other. They associated together for different purposes such as; religious, cultural, scientific, political, patriotic, benevolent (generous) etc. The definition of society can be mentioned in this way, Society is a group of people related to each other through persistent relations, or a large social grouping sharing the same geographical or vital territory, subject to the same political authority and dominant cultural expectations. In so far as a society can enable its members to benefit in ways that would not otherwise be possible on an individual basis; both individual and social benefits can thus be distinguished, or in many cases found to overlap (connect).


The relationship between language and society: Language is indissolubly (intimately) linked with the members of the society in which it is spoken, and social factors are inevitably (certainly) reflected in their speech.
Society is producer where language is touch bearer.
Language is a means of communication where society is the means of getting much benefit from the people of the area.
Language is changing rapidly but social is changing slowly.
Language influences society and people where people and society influence language.
Language has a very close and intimate relationship with society and expresses so much of our culture and the distinctive fashion we have of loving.
Language is just a tool used by people and there is no effect.
All the time language is changing because of social backgrounds and social backgrounds cause the language to be changed.
Language doesn’t affect what we can see in the world, but it is still possible that language affects people and society because may be language still affects the way we can think.
